Responsabilidades

  • Role overview
  • Main Responsibilities & Duties:
  • UX & Interaction Design
  • Design intuitive end-to-end player journeys, flows and interactions across the game.
  • Translate product requirements and player problems into clear UX solutions.
  • Map player journeys and identify friction, unnecessary complexity and opportunities to simplify experiences.
  • Explore multiple solutions before committing to a final approach.
  • Consider the complete experience, including entry points, navigation, interactions, feedback, error states, edge cases and return journeys.
  • Ensure accessibility, usability and mobile interaction principles are considered throughout the design process.
  • Review existing experiences and recommend improvements where UX or interaction patterns are inconsistent or unclear.
  • UI Design
  • Create high-quality UI designs that are clear, intuitive and consistent with the game visual direction.
  • Take UX concepts from early wireframes through to polished, implementation-ready designs
  • Work closely with Art and Creative to ensure UI supports the wider visual experience without compromising usability.
  • Create and maintain reusable UI patterns and components.
  • Help evolve game design system and establish greater consistency across existing and new experiences.
  • Ensure designs account for different devices, screen sizes, content states and localisation requirements.
  • Prototyping & Validation
  • Prototyping is a core expectation of this role.
  • Create clickable Figma prototypes for new and significantly changed player experiences.
  • Use prototypes early in the process to validate flows and interactions before significant Engineering work begins.
  • Prototype different solutions where appropriate rather than moving directly from requirements into final UI.
  • Work with the Lead Product Designer and Product team to review and challenge prototypes before implementation.
  • Use prototypes to communicate intended behaviour clearly to Engineering, QA and other stakeholders.
  • Iterate designs based on feedback, player insight, technical constraints and testing.
  • The objective is to identify experience problems during design rather than during development wherever possible.
  • Implementation-Ready Design
  • Produce clear, complete and implementation-ready Figma files.
  • Document interactions, states, behaviours and edge cases rather than relying on Engineering to interpret static screens.
  • Ensure developers understand how the experience should behave, not simply how it should look.
  • Work directly with Engineering during implementation to answer questions and resolve design issues quickly.
  • Review implemented work against the intended design and identify gaps before release.
  • Partner with QA to ensure important UX behaviours and states are covered during testing
  • Product Design
  • Work with the Lead Product Designer and Product Owners/Managers to understand priorities and plan design work accordingly.
  • Participate in discovery and early product discussions rather than joining once a solution has already been defined
  • Challenge requirements constructively when there is a simpler or stronger experience for the player.
  • Communicate progress, dependencies and blockers clearly.
  • Deliver design work at a pace that supports Product and Engineering delivery.
  • Balance quality with pragmatism and understand when further iteration creates value versus when something is ready to move forward
  • Player Experience
  • Champion the player perspective throughout the design process.
  • Use player feedback, Community insight, behavioural data and existing product knowledge to inform design decisions.
  • Consider how individual features connect to the wider Avakin experience rather than designing them in isolation.
  • Identify UX friction within existing player journeys and proactively propose improvements.
  • Work with Product and Data to understand how experiences perform after launch and iterate where appropriate.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Art, Creative, QA, Data, Community, Commercial and Live Ops.
  • Communicate design thinking clearly and explain the reasoning behind decisions.
  • Participate constructively in design reviews and be comfortable both giving and receiving feedback.
  • Present different options and trade-offs without becoming overly attached to a particular solution.
  • Work collaboratively through disagreement and use player needs, evidence and product objectives to reach decisions.
  • Help create an open design culture where ideas can be challenged respectfully.
  • Ai-First Ways of Working
  • Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to accelerate research, ideation, exploration, documentation and design production where appropriate.
  • Work with the Lead Product Designer to develop effective AI-assisted design workflows.
  • Experiment with new tools and approaches that can improve design speed or quality.
  • Share useful workflows and learnings with the wider team.
  • Maintain a high quality bar regardless of whether work is produced manually or with AI assistance
  • Relationship with the Lead Product Designer
  • The Lead Product Designer owns the overall Product Design vision, direction, standards and function across the game.
  • The UI/UX Product Designer works within that direction and is responsible for turning it into high- quality, detailed and implementation-ready experiences.
  • The role should still have significant creative ownership and be expected to challenge and contribute to product thinking. However, accountability for overall Product Design direction and prioritisation sits with the Lead Product Designer.

Requisitos

  • Skills & Experience (Required Skills):
  • Strong experience in UI/UX, Product Design or Interaction Design, ideally within mobile games, apps or live-service products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX thinking as well as high-quality UI execution.
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma, including components, auto layout, variables and interactive prototyping.
  • Strong experience creating clickable prototypes that demonstrate complete user flows and interactions.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX and interaction design principles.
  • Experience designing complex systems and journeys rather than individual screens.
  • Ability to move comfortably between wireframes, UX flows, prototypes and high-fidelity UI.
  • Strong understanding of design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Ability to produce clear designs and documentation that Engineering can implement.
  • Experience working directly with developers throughout implementation.
  • Comfortable using player/user insight, feedback and data to inform design decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable presenting work, explaining design rationale and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Pragmatic, proactive and able to work at pace without compromising the fundamental of the player experience.
  • Fluent English - Must be able to communicate fluidly with the team.
  • Resident in Brazil
